Art appreciation

I recently posted some famous art work in our art area to inspire the children. They all seemed interested in the Kandinksi picture that i posted. So i made my own version of his work and let them create.
We always save our dried out markers and use them with small water cups. Using the markers with water gives them a water color feel.

Frogs

This week we are learning about frogs.

I used kirkland brand wipe tops to make a pop up life cycle

Dr. Seuss Day

Dr. Seuss day is one of my favorite days to be a preschool teacher!
We footbook paint, make green eggs and ham and read read read!!!!!!!

This year i spent the whole week celebrating

I collected these Dr. Seuss characters over time from Kohls cares for kids!

I made a Hop on Pop game using rhyming words from the story and bubble wrap.
(Cat Mat, Hop, Pop, Tall, Small etc)
The kids loved playing hopscotch on it!

I also had some on hand for the children to pop using their fingers

We also made Moose Juice and Goose Juice.... i used a simple combination of Orange, Pineapple and Lemonade for Goose Juice and Cranberry lime for Moose Juice

Fox in Socks sock toss was the biggest hit this year. I used a hula hoop to make the sock toss and provided funky odd socks to toss
 Foot book painting! Enough said....

I also made a cut of of Thing one and Thing two for the children to pose in...
I also served Green Eggs and Ham deviled eggs and Thing one and Thing two jello cups
Rasberry jello with buttercream frosting and blue food cotton candy hair.
DO NOT PUT THE COTTON CANDY ON UNTIL READ TO SERVE... i wasted so much cotton candy. It desolves :(
