St. Jude's Trike A Thon

We are getting ready to host our annual St. Jude's Trike- a-thon. This event is so much fun and is for an excellent cause. Nick Jr. is proud to partner with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in promoting their Trike-A-Thon program, which is a fun, week-long trike safety curriculum and fund-raising program that benefits St. Jude. Dora, the star of Nick Jr.'s animated television series Dora the Explorer, is the spokesperson for this year's Trike-A-Thon program. With Dora's support for kids stay...ing active and learning skills to overcome obstacles, she is a natural advocate for the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon program.

During our Trike - a- thon week we learn all about bike safety and the "rules of the road" with a variety of activities provided by St. Jude. Then at the end of the week we host our TRIKE A THON!!!

For our Trike-a-thon I made construction barrels using large tin cans. I also used orange streamers (this year i want caution tape) to wrap around the "road". I also made a "gas station" for the kids to fill up their tanks, and a "McDonald's" for the kids to stop and get cookies and lemonade. This year i want to make a car wash for them to drive through too!
